Create a Work Order
Before You Begin
Section titled “Before You Begin”Make sure you have already added the customer for this shipment. If not, go to Customers and add them first.
1. Open the Create Form
Section titled “1. Open the Create Form”On the Work Orders list page, click + New Work Order.
2. Fill in the Form
Section titled “2. Fill in the Form”The create form has three fields:

| Customer | ✅ | Search and select the customer by name. Only one customer can be linked per work order. |
| Customer PO | — | Link an existing Customer PO to this work order. Only unassigned POs for the selected customer are shown. Available after a customer is selected. |
| Service Type | — | The type of freight service. Defaults to Sea Freight FCL. |

3. Info Panel (right side)
Section titled “3. Info Panel (right side)”After selecting a customer, a Customer info card appears on the right showing: Name, Code, Email, Phone, Tax ID, Location, Address, and the first three contacts.
After selecting a PO, a Selected PO card appears showing: PO Number, Issue Date, Delivery Date, Sub Total, and item count.
If a PO is selected, a PO Items preview table appears inside the form showing: Description, Product Name (if any), Quantity, and Unit.
4. Create
Section titled “4. Create”Click Create Work Order. The button is disabled until a customer is selected.
After Creating
Section titled “After Creating”After the work order is created, you are redirected to the work order detail page where you can fill in all remaining information and track progress.
