General Ledger

Go to Reports → General Ledger to read each account’s opening balance, transactions, and closing balance.

Filters

Filter	Description
Account	One account, or All accounts
Activity	All accounts, or With activity
Currency	Company currencies, plus All Currencies. The page opens on the default currency.
Period	This Month, Last Month, This Year, Last Year, or Custom

This Month runs from the 1st of the month through today. This Year runs through 31 December.

A cash or bank account whose currency does not match the selected currency is hidden from the account list.

Accounts

Accounts are paginated. Use Per page (10 / 20 / 50 / 100). The bar above the table shows how many accounts are listed and how many have activity. Expand all and Collapse all open or close every account on the page.

A collapsed account shows the account name, Closing balance, total Debit, and total Credit.

An expanded account shows:

Row	Description
Opening balance	Balance before the period
Transactions	One row per movement
Closing balance	Balance after the period’s movements

Transaction columns are Date, Account, Reference, Description, Debit, Credit, and Balance. The running balance updates on each row. Dates use DD/MM/YYYY.

Export Excel

Export Excel is in the top-right corner, to the left of Export PDF. It downloads general-ledger-report.xlsx. It does not open a preview. While the file is prepared, the button reads Exporting….

The file uses the account, activity, currency, and period on the page, and it includes every matching account rather than only the accounts on the current page. The sheet starts with the company name, the title GENERAL LEDGER, the period, the currency when one is selected, and the time it was generated. Columns are Date, Reference, Description, Debit, Credit, and Balance. Each account is a band that shows its opening and closing balance, then an opening row, the transactions, and a closing row.

Export PDF

Export PDF opens a preview of the same filters.
